How does it work?
The Atlas - The world map is the starting point for each historical enquiry. From there use the timeline to navigate to the time period in history close where you are searching for, and then use the red markers to delve into the area the history took place. Alternatively, choose a destination or a place on the map regarding the area that you seek and from there use the timeline to get to the date.
The Encyclopedia - Supporting each map and set of maps is an encyclopedia filling in the gaps. Encyclopedia articles outline the major historical events of each area or civilization, to tell the story of history. The encyclopedia is filled with text, images, slideshows and links to help aid understanding.
The Timeline - Use the timeline to see which civilizations were developing at what time and navigate straight to a page dedicated to that civilization.
Civilization Pages - Each civilization has its own page on which you can find information about the development, organisation, customs, beliefs, life and legacy of people. Designed as a quick reference guide it provides a useful way of seeing who the civilizations were and why they were so unique.
